This I do not understand.
But about this rain, there is sure a lot of it out here on the east coast.
It's making me feel cozy and safe. It makes me want to stare at this picture all day:

(While listening to this song.)
(And that video is making this dress look especially appealing.) (But with this belt.)
It makes coming across this quote again all the more spine-tingling:
“A child kicks his legs rhythmically through excess, not absence, of life. Because children have abounding vitality, because they are in spirit fierce and free, therefore they want things repeated and unchanged. They always say, “Do it again”; and the grown-up person does it again until he is nearly dead. For grown-up people are not strong enough to exult in monotony. But perhaps God is strong enough to exult in monotony. It is possible that God says every morning, “Do it again” to the sun; and every evening, “Do it again” to the moon. It may not be automatic necessity that makes all daisies alike; it may be that God makes every daisy separately, but He has never got tired of making them. It may be that He has the eternal appetite of infancy; for we have sinned and grown old, and our Father is younger than we.” -G.K. Chesterton
Happy Thursday, blog friends. Whether it's raining or not where you are, I hope it is a good day.
I sing The Honey Trees version of Moon River to myself way more than is probably healthy. haha -- such a lovely rendition of an already dreamy song.
ReplyDeleteOh I love the rain! It rained on us unexpectedly during our trip to San Diego last weekend and it was such a happy surprise. Except not when it got the dogs wet. That wet dog smell is no fun.

I really love the rain! Except maybe what it does to my hair... But rainy days make me want to curl up with a book and hot tea! Love it! I'm from California though and we don't have many rainy days. So I cherish the ones we receive!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad there are others who think people like the guy in front of me are weird! I'm glad you all think rain is cozy and relaxing as well. (But okay yeah, I agree that rain does not do good things to dogs and hair)
ReplyDeletei love the rain. so, for the record - i think the guy in front of you is very weird.
ReplyDeleteThat photo is beautiful. The first two days of rain I was ok with - an excuse to sit inside and eat chili and read. But now on Day 5...I am no longer ok with it!
ReplyDeletesuch a pretty photo. i'm so glad you can embrace the rain!

The garage at my office flooded. I was not amused. ;)
ReplyDeleteBuuut... I'm in love with The Honey Trees. I could just listen to that song on repeat.
It is raining cats and dogs here and I love it too! I am curled up with a blanket, a cup of coffee, and blogs. Three of my favorite things. : )
