Material things to get all worked up about

Money can buy a small amount of happiness, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. These are some of the non-essential things I am loving this month:

I was initially drawn to this little guy because I fit the targeted buyer to a T, and because I fell flat for the marketing scheme: at the Target register, pink, small, cute shape, strawberry sorbet scent/flavor. I bought it because it has lovely ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, and Stevia. I love the way it goes on my lips, and doesn't have to constantly be re-applied. Another plus is that it does not leave a weird white filmy layer on my lips that some non-colored lip glosses tend to do. Oh, and I also bought it because it was at the Target register, it's pink, small, has a cute shape, and tastes like strawberry sorbet. EOS Organic Lip Balm $3

Eric bought this copy of one of my all-time favorite books for me for Christmas because my copy was literally falling apart due to the many readings, and many bags I have shoved it into to accompany me on many-a-journey. And I do love a cute edition of my favorite books.

I already knew I loved Jadeite, but when someone gave us eight of these mugs for our wedding, I fell in love with her sister, Milk Glass. We got married (Eric and I, not Milk Glass and I) over a year ago, however, I did not have these mugs in my possession until we went home for Christmas a few weeks ago and were able to take them home with us because we had a car. Then, as fate would have it, I found two gold-trimmed saucers at a thrift store a few days ago, and tea and coffee have risen to a whole new level. What fun it is to drink warm beverages with the dignified sound of tinkling china (milk glass) following every sip!

Also, doesn't it look cute sitting in my blogging space?

And those are my current loves. Now tell me, what material things are working you up these days?

P.S. I am finally facing the reality that I do not have the time at this point in my life to post every single day. As much as I would love to be able to do that, I have decided that quality and consistency are better than sporadic attempts at daily postings. So, as a little trial, I will be posting here on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. And we shall see how that works out for now. As always, thank you for reading!

Soooo, that lip gloss looks like something that might sucker me in, too, and what's better than a new copy of an old favorite book. Nothing really. :)

THe Screwtape Letters is an amazing book. We saw a stage adaption of it last year by Max McLean--I'd definitely recommend it if he ever comes to your part of the world.

Yeah....pretty sure I'd fall for the lip balm just like you. :)

Material things that are working me up?
We just bought new dining room chairs which have been a loooooooong time coming. I'm pretty pumped. :)

Ooo I have never seen the EOS Organic Lip Balm! I need to keep an eye out for this next time I am at Target!
I understand about blogging everyday. I try to but I do not blog on Saturdays and Sundays. That time is for my husband and our time together.
I have posted something for you on my blog post for today. Here is the link for you to look at

Oh you MUST try the pomegranate raspberry lip balm from EOS. Best one I've found! (Although I haven't tried the strawberry sorbet. I do NOT recommend the summer fruit one. :p)

Bethany, isn't it funny how exciting things like dining room chairs can be when you are a grown up? When I was little, I sure didn't see that coming. So, congratulations. :)

Kelli, ohhh another flavor! I am not opposed to trying that one at all. And thanks for the tip on summer fruit...

That lip thing looks too cool for school! Cute milk glasses. And, also, I'm glad that a book with a gargoyle on it is considered cute.

Yeah... I still haven't read the Screwtape Letters.

And as I write that, the shameful memory of borrowing your copy back in college-land only to let it collect dust for a few months is being conjured up ever more vividly.

Apologies.
